This is the original iconic light box by Lilly's Lightbox Company. We have been making light boxes in our rural workshop since 2010, and featured them at many design festivals and pubs throughout the UK. Each one is still lovingly crafted by us in FSC certified oak wood or made from upcycled vintage drawers.

This artwork was inspired the childrens story projectors of the 1950s, working with the original film role and creating a meticulous collage of different scene and the corresponding text from the original children's books. This is the story of Max & Moritz by Wilhelm Busch set in an upcycled drawer from a 1930s cabinet.
